Fool's Walk & Celebration Camp

Fool's Walk With Franklin D. Roosevelt State Park

We are joining FDR State Park for their annual Fool's Walk. This event is open to everyone. We will hike the whole twenty-three miles of the Pine Mountain Trail. The hike will begin at sunrise and end at dinnertime. You will definitely deserve a special dinner after. They will have a shuttle available at the halfway point if you've had enough. There will be short breaks throughout the day and a lunch break. FDR State Park will be providing shirt.

Iron Braid participants will be provided cold water at the halfway point. We will also have a station set up to prep your feet for the next twelve miles, and stretching. We will continue our hike and end at the WJSP TV Tower Trail Head. There will be a shuttle to take you back to the beginning.

When we complete the 23-miles, we will meet at the campground where you can take a hot shower. Then the celebration begins! We will have pizza and celebration drinks around the campfire. Put on your new shirt for group photos. After our celebration, we will crawl into our cozy tents for a good nights sleep.

We will have coffee ready in the morning and if you would like, join us for a hot breakfast at the Country Store.
