Winter Hike

Group Hike Pine Mountain Trail

We had a great group hike yesterday. It was cold and windy but the ice covered trees made for a beautiful hike. The temperature was about 28 degrees and the wind was bitter cold, but we bundled up in layers. There were quite a few trees that just couldn't take the weight of the ice, some blocked the trail. We moved the ones we could to clear the trail. As we hiked, the sound of the ice covered trees blowing in the wind was a strange but magical sound.

Never let the cold keep you from enjoying the great outdoors. If you bundle up in layers and cover exposed skin, you can comfortably enjoy getting out on the trail.
