We are offering this trip to Veterans and Gold Star Survivors at a 50% discount but this trip is open to all ladies. Join us for a three-day/two-night backpacking adventure on the Georgia section of the Appalachian Trail. We will guide you through the whole experience.
We handle all of the planning and logistics. All you have to do is pack what is on our list that we provide you. You will need a backpack as you will carry your own gear.
It doesn't matter what your skill level is, we all climb the same hill together. Join a group of like-minded woman who will encourage and support each other. We all share the struggles, the rewards, and the laughter.
We will begin our adventure at Woody Gap where we will be shuttled to our starting point. We do not provide transportation but attendees are encouraged to ride share.
This is great for those that want to test the waters as well as experienced hikers.
Please note that this will be a backcountry environment
Day 1: We will meet at Woody Gap. Our day will start with a shuttle that will take us to Three Forks where we will start our hike. We will take a side trail to enjoy the beautiful Long Creek Falls and have some lunch. We will continue on to our first nights camp at Hawk Mountain Shelter. Today is our short day of less than four miles.
Day 2: This will be our long day that will test our limits. We will hike about 7.7 miles and slowly climb. We will make our way to our second nights camp at Gooch Mountain Shelter.
Day 3: Today you will be rewarded with great views. We will make our way to Woody Gap for a total of about five miles.
You must be able to carry your own gear (15 - 25 lbs.)
You must be able to hike 8 miles in one day
You must have your own backpack, tent, sleeping pad, sleeping bag
