Appalachian Trail Experience

Join us for a three-day/two-night backpacking adventure on the Georgia section of the Appalachian Trail. We will guide you through the whole experience. We will hike about twenty miles in three days and you will experience two nights on the trail. 

We handle all of the planning and logistics. All you have to do is pack what is on our list that we provide you. You will need a backpack as you will carry your own gear. If you don't have all the gear we have gear rentals. We offer individual or small group trips. We recommend registering well in advance.

This is great for those that want to test the waters as well as experienced hikers. 

Requirements:

  • You must be able to carry your own gear (18 - 25 lbs.)
  • You must be able to hike 7 miles in one day 
  • You must have your own backpack 
  • You must have your own gear (we have rentals)

We recommend being cleared by a Doctor before any physical activity

PINE MOUNTAIN TRAIL THRU-HIKE

Join us for our PMT thru-hike where we will spend three days and two nights completing the 23-miles. This is a great way to test your backpacking skills and train for a longer or more difficult trail. We handle all the logistics and will provide you a recommended packing list.

We will start off at the Country Store and finish at the WJSP TV Tower parking lot. We will provide a shuttle back to the starting point. If you are new to backpacking we will guide you and provide instructions. The event is open to everyone and is a small group event, so we have limited openings.

Requirements:

  • You must be able to carry your own gear (15 - 25 lbs.)
  • You must be able to hike 8 miles in one day 
  • You must have your own backpack 
  • You must have your own gear (Let us know if you need gear)
