Cowgirl Camp Out
Join us for a fun weekend camping out and horseback riding with just the girls. If food, fun, relaxing, and laughter sounds like a good time, then join us. We will camp at the F.D. Roosevelt Campground. We will have everything set up and waiting for you. All you have to bring is personal items, a towel, and a pillow. Meals will be prepared while you relax around the campfire. Saturday we will put on our cowgirl hats and spend two hours trail riding. We will ride to the top of the mountain and enjoy the view from the Lake Franklin overlook.
After dinner your first night, we will put our boots on, turn the music up, and line up for some dancing. Then we will gather around the campfire and relax while snacking on some cowgirl popcorn and peanuts. You can mosey on over to your tents and sleep under the stars. Don't worry about being cold, you will have warm sleeping bags and blankets for a cozy nights sleep.
You will wake to the smell of pancakes, warm syrup, and hot coffee. We will enjoy breakfast around the warm fire. Then we will put our cowgirl hats on and head out for a two hour horseback ride on the trails. We will ride to the top of the mountain and enjoy the view from the Lake Franklin overlook. When we return from our ride, get ready for some friendly competition. Teams will compete in the hay and bull obstacle course. Winning team gets an award!
After our exciting day, you will want to relax. While dinner is being prepared, you can rest in one of our hammocks or find a quiet spot to sit and read. If you still have lots of energy, you can go for a walk. It's your free time, so you choose how you would like to spend it.
Our last night will be spent around the campfire where we will enjoy great conversation and laughs. You can grab a hot coffee, roast marshmallows, or go all out and make some S'mores. After another cozy and warm nights sleep, you will wake once again to the smell of breakfast cooking. Our fun weekend will come to a close, but you will leave feeling relaxed and full of great memories.
