October is right around the corner and we have some fun and exciting events coming. Grab a friend or come by yourself, either way you will have a great time and meet new friends.

Steal a little time for yourself! Making time for yourself makes you a happier person and benefits everyone in your life. It gives you a relaxed, refreshed feeling that enables you to successfully tackle all the roles you play in your life with an overall feeling of happiness. So commit to time for yourself and join us for one of our fun events.

Appalachian Trail Experience October 5 - 7

Join us for a three-day/two-night backpacking adventure on the Georgia section of the Appalachian Trail. We will guide you through the whole experience. We will hike about fifteen miles in three days and you will experience two nights on the trail. 

We handle all of the planning and logistics. All you have to do is pack what is on our list that we provide you. You will need a backpack as you will carry your own gear. If you don't have all the gear we have gear rentals. Contact us for more information.

It doesn't matter what your skill level is, we all climb the same hill together. Join a group of like-minded woman who will encourage and support each other. We all share the struggles, the rewards, and the laughter.

We will begin our adventure at Woody Gap and make our way to Springer Mountain. We do not provide transportation but attendees are encouraged to ride share.

Wine & Cheese Girls Night Out October 13 -14


What's better than spending the evening with friends relaxing around the campfire while sipping some wine and enjoying the fall weather. We will relax around the campfire enjoying some wine and cheese while having great conversations and sharing many laughs. Delicious pizza will be served for dinner. We will enjoy a night stroll under the stars then return to our campsite for must have S'mores and hot drinks. Your cozy tents will be waiting for you when you are ready to get a good nights sleep in the cool crisp air. After a light breakfast and hot coffee, we will set out for a short hike before our fun comes to an end.

Hike Fit Series II October 14th & 28th

Join us for our new hike fit series! We are starting our series II which will involve short distance running, hiking, and four stations where you will complete exercises in an allotted time. At the halfway point we will have cold water available for refills.

There are ways to make this easier or harder. You can complete exercises with or without a pack and carry as much weight in your pack as you are comfortable with. You can complete one round at each station or complete as many as you can in the allotted time. 

For Series II, we will meet at the Trading Post store in the campground. You will need to purchase a parking pass.

Edge of the Wild: Eco-Art Therapy Class October 20th

Join Meg Harbin, LCSW, RYT for a morning of communing with nature and exploring creativity. Practice mindful walking under tree-lined paths, breathing in the towering pines while the eyes dance upon a dazzling crimson array of changing Autumn leaves in the Georgia mountains. Allow art activities with natural elements to unlock nature‚Äôs wisdom within and around you. 

Backcountry Relaxing October 20 -21

Join us for a fun overnight backpacking adventure. We will hike about 2.5-miles to Old Sawmill Campsite where we will relax to the sound of running water and Ferny The Big Pine Tree watching over us. We will spend the evening relaxing around the campfire, eating, laughing, and playing some camp games. Experience the peace of being away from all the noise of our daily lives under the stars. 

We will provide the tents, which will sleep three. You are welcome to bring your own tent if you prefer. After a good nights sleep in the cool crisp air, we will pack up camp and walk back to our vehicles. You can head home feeling refreshed or you can first join us on our group hike.

Ladies Haunted Camp Out October 27 -28

What better place to celebrate this time of year then in the woods. Join us for a fun girls night out around the campfire. A little fear and lots of laughter will make for a great time. After a delicious dinner of Barbecue and Brunswick Stew we will head out on a night stroll. Stay close together, you never know what's out there. We will return to relax around the  campfire and enjoy warm drinks.

Come in costume!

Your tents will be set up for you and when your ready you can retire for a good nights sleep. Don't be afraid of the noises you might hear! In the morning you will be served a light breakfast then we will enjoy a short hike before our fun ends.
