Appalachian Trail Experiences

Join us on one of our Appalachian Trail Experiences. We handle all the logistics and planning. All you have to do is pack what is on the list that we provide and show up ready to test your limits and have some fun. We offer several beginners trips and more advanced trips. We rate our trips to help you choose the best one for you.

APPALACHIAN TRAIL EXPERIENCE - BEGINNERS

September 20 -22 Rated for beginners

Join us for a three-day/two-night backpacking adventure on the Georgia section of the Appalachian Trail. We will guide you through the whole experience. This is our beginners trip that provides you an easier experience on the Appalachian Trail.

ITINERARY

Day 1: We will meet at Woody Gap. Our day will start with a shuttle that will take us to Three Forks where we will start our hike. We will take a side trail to enjoy the beautiful Long Creek Falls and have some lunch. We will continue on to our first nights camp at Hawk Mountain Shelter. Today is our short day of less than four miles.

Day 2: This will be our long day that will test our limits. We will hike about 7.7 miles and slowly climb. We will make our way to our second nights camp at Gooch Mountain Shelter.

Day 3: Today you will be rewarded with great views. We will make our way to Woody Gap for a total of about five miles.


APPALACHIAN TRAIL EXPERIENCE | SPRINGER MOUNTAIN TO WOODY GAP

October 12 -13 Rated moderately advanced due to mileage

Join us for a two-day/one-night backpacking adventure on the Georgia section of the Appalachian Trail. We will guide you through the whole experience. We will hike about twenty-one miles in two days and you will experience one night on the trail. 

PLEASE REVIEW ITINERARY BEFORE REGISTERING.

DAY 1:

We will meet at the Woody Gap parking area. Please arrive by 8:50 as the shuttle will pull off promptly at 9:00. We will be shuttled to Springer Gap where we will hike about one mile up to Springer Mountain to enjoy the view and take group photos. This is the official beginning of the Appalachian Trail. We will then return back down to Springer Gap where we will make our way to Hawk Mountain Shelter for the evening. Our mileage will be about 8.7 miles for the day.

DAY 2:

After breakfast we will begin our trek to Woody Gap. Our total mileage for the day will be around 13. This will be a harder day than the first day as we have some climbs. The last few miles you will be rewarded with great views.


AT EXPERIENCE | THREE FORKS TO THE APPROACH TRAIL AMICALOLA FALLS

October 19 -20 Rated for beginners

Join us for a two-day/one-night backpacking adventure on the Georgia section of the Appalachian Trail and Approach Trail. This is great for beginners and the experienced. We will guide you through the whole experience. We will hike about 15 miles in 2 days and you will experience one night on the trail. 

ITINERARY

DAY 1: We will meet at the Visitors Center at Amicalola Falls State Park and shuttle to Three Forks where we will begin our trek at 11:00. The shuttle will pull off 10:00 sharp. We will hike about 4 miles to Springer Mountain where we will enjoy the views. We will then hike about another mile before making camp.

DAY 2: We will depart Black Gap Shelter after breakfast and make our way down the Approach Trail into Amicalola Falls. We will hike down the steps and stand before the beautiful falls and feel the mist coming off. As we follow the falls down you will hear the relaxing sound of the water. Our second day will be the most difficult but don’t worry we will take plenty of breaks.


APPALACHIAN TRAIL EXPERIENCE - BEGINNERS

VETERANS AND GOLD STAR FAMILIES RECEIVE A 50% DISCOUNT

November 9 -11 Rated for beginners

We are offering this trip to Veterans and Gold Star Survivors at a 50% discount but this trip is open to all ladies. Join us for a three-day/two-night backpacking adventure on the Georgia section of the Appalachian Trail. We will guide you through the whole experience.

CO-ED APPALACHIAN TRAIL EXPERIENCE | THREE FORKS TO AMICALOLA FALLS

November 16 -17 Rated for beginners

Join us for our first ever co-ed trip. Whether you want to bring your special someone or you are single, this will be a fun experience. We handle all of the logistics, all you have to do is show up ready to have fun and enjoy some exercise in the great outdoors.

ITINERARY

DAY 1: We will meet at the Visitors Center at Amicalola Falls State Park and shuttle to Three Forks where we will begin our trek at 11:00. The shuttle will pull off 10:00 sharp. We will hike about 4 miles to Springer Mountain where we will enjoy the views and relax. We will then hike about another mile before making camp.
