Columbus is home to the world's largest urban whitewater course and southern style restaurants galore! Enjoy dinner, then take a stroll or bike along the Riverwalk, just steps away from the Chattahoochee. You can kayak, stand-up paddle board (SUP), learn to fly fish and much more. Uptown Columbus, Georgia is filled with lots of fun activities and is a great place to visit.
Just a few minutes north, you'll find Pine Mountain which is a must do. Go antiquing and discover this cozy mountain town. Enjoy Callaway Garden's 6,500 acre resort where you can see Birds of Prey, visit the Day Butterfly Center, find tranquility at the Ida Cason Memorial Chapel, explore the Tree Top Adventure & Zip Lines, or relax on Robin Lake Beach. FDR State park offers some great hiking on the Pine Mountain Trail or horseback riding at Roosevelt Stables.
For history buffs you can visit Franklin Delano Roosevelt's Little White House just a short drive away in Warm Springs. Explore the quaint setting where FDR found relief from Polio and his lasting legacy. Enjoy dining, shopping, and southern charm at its finest.
